What Happens When A Stylist's Baby Turns One?
If you’ve been following us for a little while, you would know that our Founder and Director, Alyse, had a beautiful baby boy one year ago. The last six months of Santino’s life has been full of uncertainty (hello global pandemic), however, the one certainity for Alyse was throwing her baby boy a first birthday, no matter the circumstances.
Cue, Santi’s first birthday celebrations at Chicco Palms. Having to cut their guest list down considerably thanks to covid restrictions, Alyse and Biagio celebrated Santi over a few days - with their main celebration taking place at one of Adelaide’s best pizza joints, Chicco Palms. This ended up being the perfect venue, which tied in seamlessly with Alyse’s Italian inspired celebration, with a retro flair. Not only was the food to die for, but the service was absolutely incredible - especially considering Alyse had to change Santi’s celebrations at the last minute due to the ever changing restrictions!
Standing tall as the centerpiece for the space was a variety of plinths from Jaks Hire, decked out with flowers from Adelaide Flower House, which created the perfect backdrop for Santi’s incredible retro inspired cake, made by the fabulous team at Bake Space.

As we always say, creating a photo opportunity like this is key when planning an event - not only so your guest’s photos of the day look fabulous, but it provides a talking point, and draws the eye through the space to the back of the room.
The tablescape featured the same retro colour palette, with beautiful balloons from Puff and Pop, florals by Adelaide Flower House, linen by Modern Party and gorgeous stationary by Made by J Designs.

Styling your table with pieces that are complimentary, but also tell a story about who you are, brings personality and warmth to any event. Whether it’s as simple as napkins or menus, or the full works, having these elements on your table settings will elevate your event to the next level.
Instead of the traditional lolly bags you’d find at a first birthday celebration, Alyse opted for party favours from Sent With Love Giftbox Co, who made up the perfect little dessert boxes for guests to take away with them.
