Planning the work Christmas Party? Here's what you need to consider!

Lucky you, you’ve got the honour of putting together your workplace Christmas party!

Okay sure, we feel this way as stylist’s because we absolutely adore Christmas time and all of the theming that comes with it. However, we understand that not everyone feels the same way as us and some may need a little guidance.

Lucky you have us in your tinsel covered corner, hey!

So, where to begin…

  1. Budget

Always the most important place to start when planning any event. Establishing your vision is a whole lot easier once you establish the monetary boundaries.

There’s nothing worse than the disappointment of putting together ideas that aren’t feasible with your cash allocation.

But, even if you are working with a small-scale budget you shouldn’t be disheartened. Christmas cheer can be achieved, even on a shoestring!

2. Styling: Our favourite word!

For Christmas, the styling can really go in any direction. You can choose cheerful and bright, or modern and chic to deck the halls.

Your choice will depend on your venue, party type and your guests/guest numbers.

Another consideration is whether or not you’d like to include your company colours or logo in your styling.

Yes, this may sound odd when we are talking Christmas, but who says your colour palette has to be red, white and green? Not us!

Incorporating your company colours through the styling can be incredibly chic and speak to your business in a really special and memorable way.

Having a long table sit down dinner? Running your styling through the centre of the tables is always a great direction to take. The volume you include as your centrepieces can be as robust or as streamlined as you like, or your budget allows.

3. execution

Last but not least, it’s time to execute! Research suppliers, contact venues and book in as many elements as you can nice and early. Being such a busy time of year, the last thing you want to do is leave things to the last minute!

Does this all sound fabulous, but perhaps a little more than you can or want to take on? We’d love to help!
