Event Trends in 2025

After a couple of years without a lot of focus on private events, we are so pleased to have seen them return through 2024 and that don’t look to be slowing down in 2025! 

Why we love private events: 

Where to begin! Unlike a wedding, a private event has the ability to be any type of event you could wish for, without the constraints of expectations, traditions, timelines etc. 

This opens the door to an incredible range of venue options, colour palettes, décor, entertainment and catering. The styling opportunities are limitless! 

Another reason we love private events? They’re so joyful. Typically in aid of celebrating an individual, group or achievement, everyone is there to celebrate. 

In line with this, the styling is often more playful and OTT to support the occasion. 

What to expect from private events in 2025:

We expect private events to level up this year with the addition of simple, yet effective elements.

Think: lighting, seating and dramatic draping.

Lighting – candles will remain a must (as always if you ask us!) however we predict creative additions of pendants, table lamps and adding to the mood with decorative up-lighting.

Seating – comfort is key, especially when it’s chic! We predict more private events will bring in furniture at home and at venues, swapping out the standard range of seating for on-trend chair options.  

Dramatic draping – Already making its way into the wedding scene, you’ll be seeing draping through private event spaces too. Adding texture and flair. Draping will be the ‘bows’ we saw in 2023/24. 

Sustainability will also be a consideration, with people opting for spend in hirable options rather than one-off products. Every little bit counts!
