Bridal Showers | The Stylist's Guide
Aside from your wedding day, bridal showers are one of our favourite events to work on with our brides. They’re fun to style and set up, plus it’s the day you come together with your closest family and friends to celebrate becoming a wife, and prepare your kitchen for nights cooking with your hubby!
At The Stylist’s Guide, our mission is to create unique events inspired by colour, texture and the finer details, which make an event, an occasion. Over the years we have worked on numerous bridal showers, which have all sung true to the bride and her own individual personality.
With wedding season fast approaching, it’s time to share with you some of the beautiful bridal showers we have worked on. With many weddings having to be post-poned due to covid-19, it’s the perfect time to re-plan your pre-wedding events using our E-services, to make them even more special and stress free than before. Silver linings for the win!
Julia’s bridal shower
Last year we had the pleasure of organising Julia’s bridal shower from beginning to end. It was a beautiful morning full of brunch at The Moseley in Glenelg, where guests enjoyed a delicious three course brunch, alongside breakfast bubbly and coffee. With an overall theme of pink and red, the tables were styled with red and pink roses, paired with our pink vases and pink cotton napkins - a perfect contrast against the blue tiled tables and plates supplied by the venue. A gorgeous pink, red and gold cake by Rebecca’s Cakes stood tall, next to our acrylic tabletop dessert wall, where we displayed engagement ring cookies for guests. We loved assisting this bride to be with everything from concept creation, to assistance with bringing Julia’s vision to life. Julia also hired a number of prop items from us including our acrylic block table numbers and gold brass vase, which made the space look incredible!

Cimon’s bridal shower
When Cimon got engaged, we jumped at the opportunity to be her wedding planner... then she asked our Director Alyse to be her maid of honour, and there you have it. It's safe to say our hands were full! Cimon’s bridal shower was held at Marybank Farm in Rostrevor. A beautiful venue that holds unique, rustic inspired functions. The day was based around the celebration of love, mixed in with the bride’s Italian heritage - specifically through the decadent dessert bar by Dessert Table and grazing table by Marybank Farm. The overall theme to follow for the day was ‘rustic chic’, which was brought to the venue through florals by Poppy & Vine. Cimon loved the venue, so we kept it simple and let the rustic feel of the space do the talking.

Larissa’s bridal shower
When Larissa came to us for help with her Bridal Shower, we couldn’t say no, especially because it was Amalfi Coast themed (if you’ve been following us for a while, you know we love a good Italian theme). It was a beautiful afternoon indulging the bride to be at The Moseley Bar & Kitchen, styled to perfection with fresh flowers that were supplied and arranged by us, alongside a number of our prop hire items. We absolutely loved using lemons as a pop of yellow throughout the event, as well as the yellow on the menus, signage by Giftables, and of course, in the limoncello!
Alongside the pops of yellow, we used gold in elements like our cocktail cart, and white for the balloon installation by Balloons and more, plus mesh backdrop and cake table by JAKS hire + events.

deanna’s bridal shower
Deanna’s bridal shower was a traditional and modern affair, made special with The Stylist’s Guide touch. Keeping with the Italian Tradition of holding the Bridal Shower at your parents home, Deanna’s bridal shower was hosted by her Mum and Bridesmaids. Although we’ve styled and coordinated a number of events at client’s home, we drew inspiration for the bride from the beautiful backyard to create something unique for her, with a modern yet laid-back atmosphere. The space featured helium balloons floating above the pool by Puff & Pop, a laser cut sign by Laser Lab Co. and Prop Hire from The Stylist’s Guide.

Maree’s bridal shower
Helping bride’s turn their vision into reality has become The Stylist’s Guide’s most sought after service - something we provided for Maree Hopgood throughout all of her pre-wedding events. Maree said, “working in events myself, I was so worried about not being able to do a final check of everything, but having The Stylist’s Guide there for me doing this - I knew I had nothing to worry about.” Maree’s bridal shower was a colourful, pastel affair which featured custom laser cut signage and swizzle sticks by Laser Lab Co, balloon garland by Puff & Pop and grazing table by Soul + Savoury.
Maree was a dream to work with, who continuously bounced ideas off our team, making it just like planning a wedding fesitvity with a best friend. Her vision from the start of the process was phenomenal, which not only made our job easy, but the day was a stand out too.
