Make Mother's Day Extra Special This Year With The Stylist's Guide
How good are Mums. They fuss after us (whether we like it or not), are always there to answer all of our questions - “how do I cook that really nice dish you make, you know, that one? “Oh and how the heck do I get red wine out of my brand new white top” - and are the best shoulder to cry on when we need it most.
Given this year is a little different to our regular celebration of mothers, we thought we’d put together some inspo for you that you can create at home, to spoil the most important lady (or amazing caregiver) in your life!
Here’s our top tips on creating the perfect Mother’s Day spread at home:
Tip 1: The Centrepiece
Style up your table for Mother’s Day with a fab centrepiece, or pieces to use as the focal point for your DIY table setting! Call mum's favourite florist, let them know her favourite colour, and arrange an extra special bunch for her. She’ll love it.

Tip 2: The Breakfast
Every single mum loves when they don't have to cook! If you want to completely DIY for breakfast, whip up a grazing breakfast platter with all of mum’s faves! Not sure what to include? Keep it simple with some fresh fruit, fresh scones and yoghurt. Better yet, you can’t go wrong with homemade pancakes!
Tip 3: The Styling
This year, we are all celebrating differently. Does mum have that very special dinner set you can only use on special occasions? Grab that out of the cupboard and set her up a fancy little table setting. Our creative director did just that, pulling out her home favourites, along with some of our prop hire range to complete the perfect table setting for her mum.

Tip 4: The Lunch
Not sure what to cook for lunch? With mum’s favourite restaurant or cafe closed this year, why not order some take-away from your local? Not only will you help out a local biz, but your Mum will love not having to lift a finger!

With our tips in mind, we teamed up with Adelaide based hire company Modern Party Hire to create the ultimate Mother’s Day set-up, styling their hire items to create a beautiful breakfast for mum.
We incorporated a natural palette, using tonal colours, gorgeous dried florals and some gold cutlery to tie it all together. We can’t wait to show you more from this shoot soon!
