How to plan that Insta-worthy party
It’s no surprise that anything and everything we do is posted online – particularly on Instagram. From where we go to eat, opening new packages in the mail, to being at an event, we’re always looking for the most Insta-worthy spot to take selfies and group photos!
With this in mind, many of our clients want to create ‘Instagrammable’ events that their guests will love and post about throughout the event.
Whether it’s a birthday party, special milestone, corporate function or wedding, people are looking for more ways to create those jaw-dropping, FOMO-infused events that have everyone not there wishing they were invited!
Create a snap-worthy space
There’s nothing quite like a good photo-op! Not only will your guests photos look incredible from the day, but it’s a great central point to invite group pics too. Sometimes people need a little push to get that picture-perfect photo, so giving them a stellar backdrop (like we did for a client’s recent baby shower) provides a great opportunity to get snaps. Plus, it makes the room feel complete and ties the whole event together!
Tell a story
Bringing your event to life is much like telling your story – guests want to know about the depth, personality and connection that things in your event has. Styling your table with intimate trinkets, hand-written messages or elements that showcase who you are make for an Insta-worthy feature; adding a wow-factor doesn’t need to be grand, just personal.
Keep in on theme
From the place settings to centrepieces, backdrops to invitations, it’s ideal to keep your colours, patterns, textures, fonts and ambience all on theme. This gives your guests an indication to what to expect without giving too much away before the day, and on the day they’ll see your wonderful work and personality injected into the event, which creates memories made to last.
It’s in the details
You know what they say about the devil… so don’t ignore the finer details that complete your event and leave your guests talking about it for weeks, not just days after. Think about party-favours that your guests will really enjoy and snap right away, or something they will use for long after the party’s over!
Encourage your guests to Instagram!
Sometimes all your guests need is a good excuse to use your personalised hashtag, or tag you in the event stories of the day! Put a reminder on your menus, napkins or on the table that tells your guests to get snap-happy and show the world you’re having a good time. The best content is always what other people post when you’re all having a good time!
