With restrictions easing and our way of life coming back to somewhat normal in this new world, it can be hard for couples to navigate how to take the next step forward when planning their wedding post-pandemic.

In times of uncertainty, it’s warranted that some couples are cautious when looking at their wedding plans – with things potentially changing at a moment’s notice.

Pandemic aside, we know planning a wedding is an uphill battle! Without extra support behind you, it can become overwhelming especially when you’re trying to juggle your wedding plans with daily life, work, kids and family.

It’s no surprise that couples find it hard to shut out opinions from others (especially family) and have difficulty focusing on their own vision and how they truly want their wedding to look.

As we come into our favourite time of the year (wedding season of course), newly engaged couples are looking for inspiration and guidance through the process of planning a wedding! Weddings are our bread and butter here at TSG, so we’re taking a moment to look back on one of our recent weddings that has a unique place in our hearts – and it may just inspire you.

For Marianne and Alessio’s wedding, The Stylist’s Guide not only offered extra support for the couple, but were granted full creative control to take their vision of modern European flair and run with it. From ideation through to execution, TSG worked tirelessly to make Marianne and Alessio’s dream wedding come true at the beautiful Sunnybrae Estate.

We chatted with the couple to discuss all things wedding inspiration, their journey together and how TSG offered a seamless, tailored experience from day one to their special day.

Tell us a little about your wedding inspiration?

Our main inspiration was Italy! We really wanted everyone to feel the love in the air and therefore the overall vision was for the room to feel romantic and inviting with an abundance of flowers and candles – my jaw dropped when we saw a sneak peek of the room for the first time!

Why did you choose The Stylist’s Guide to be part of your day?

Beginning the wedding planning process can feel overwhelming as you have so many ideas & aren’t quite sure how to execute them all and therefore I felt it would be beneficial to have someone oversee the coordination of the styling and suppliers – and gosh am I glad we found TSG!

How was your Wedding Planning Experience with The Stylist’s Guide?

Alessio and I clicked instantly with Alyse from TSG at our first catch up. She was so warm, friendly and excited to take us on the styling journey. She was responsive and super helpful. Alyse helped see our vision through from start to end and we couldn’t be happier with the end result, it was an absolute pleasure having TSG as such a huge part of our day.

When the day came around, what was your favourite part about the wedding?

We honestly had the most perfect day, there were so many moments I tried to soak up! Seeing Alessio at the end of the altar made my heart melt; we’ve been together for seven and a half years and getting to say I Do in front of our loved ones was surreal. Spending the day with our bridal party was a blast, we had the best time! Getting to see the reception for the first time with Alessio was also a major highlight, we were both genuinely blown away at how incredible the room looked – it was perfection! Lastly, the speeches, all three were amazing!
